A Novel Bunch Book Club will read The Handmaid
and the Carpenter by Elizabeth Berg. Reading
guides are available. A Novel Bunch Book Club is
open to the public and all are welcome to attend!
Stress Relief @ Your Library Monday, December 7, 10:30 AM @ Main
Adults are invited to come to the library for an hour of
quiet stress relief through the magic of coloring. Tap
into your inner child and let loose your worries as you
color your way to a Zen state. Coloring sheets, crayons
and other materials will be provided. For adults only.
A Frozen Christmas Party Thursday, December 3, 5:00-8:00 p.m. @ Main
“Get into the holiday spirit” and
meet Elsa and Anna at the Dickinson
County Library during the annual
Tree-Trimming Christmas Party!
Elsa and Anna will be reading a sto-
ry and singing “Let It Go” from5:30-
5:45 PM and 6:30-6:45 PM, as well
as posing for photos and signing au-
tographs from 5:45-6:30 PM and
6:45-7:00 PM! Bring your camera to
take your child’s photo with Elsa and
Anna. The last photo sessions will also have a group
photo opportunity for all in attendance.
Kids of all ages can make holiday ornaments, help
decorate the Christmas tree and share refreshments.
Teens will be able to decorate their own winter mug
starting at 5:00 PM- supplies are limited, so come ear-
ly! Live music will be performed by the Kingsford
High School Jazz Band from 5:00-6:30 PM! It is sure
to be a holly, jolly occasion for the whole family!
Norway Christmas Party Monday, December 7 6- 7:30 PM @ Norway
Kids and teens of all ages are invited to create orna-
ments and help decorate the Norway Branch for the
holiday season! Use your holiday creativity to craft
some one-of-a-kind ornament masterpieces that will
decorate the Norway Library Christmas tree, and stay
for some holiday treats!

North Dickinson Christmas Party Tuesday, December 8, 3-5:30 PM @ the North Dickinson Branch
Kids and teens of all ages are invited to join us in get-
ting the North Dickinson Branch ready for the holi-
days! Help trim the Christmas tree, use your creativity
to make some holiday ornaments, enjoy carols and
refreshments, and other Christmas time fun. It will be
festive fun for the whole family!

Sleepy Stories Monday, December 14, 6 PM @ Main
Children of all ages are invited to soothing
Sleepy Stories! This bedtime program will
help send children to lullaby land with sto-
ries and more designed to ease the bedtime
journey. Kids may come in comfy pajam-
as, with their blankies and teddy bears in tow! Don’t
miss out on this sleepy time treat. Toothbrushes do-
nated by the John Fornetti Dental Center.
Hour of Code Wednesday, December 9, 6:30 PM @ Main
Join the computer age, pick up a keyboard and learn
about coding! Presented by the Breitung Township
Schools, this program will introduce kids to Scratch
computer coding. Designed to demystify code and
show that anybody can learn the basics, this program is
perfect for grades 5-8!
Make-N-Take Craft Saturday, December 19

Celebrate Saturday fun with a Make-N-Take
craft! Each month, the Dickinson
County Library and Norway Li-
brary will host a fun Make-N-Take
craft for kids of all ages to create
and enjoy! Kids can stop by any
time during the program to make

Christmas Matinee: Elf Saturday, December 12, 10 AM @ Main
Count down the days to Christmas with this modern
film classic! Elf is a fantastic family film that fea-
tures the journey of Buddy the Elf as he leaves the
North Pole in search of his birth father and his place
in the world. Full of Christmas cheer, this film is
perfect for kids of all ages and is rated PG.
Basic Budgeting Thursday, December 10, 6:30 PM @ Main
This program will include helpful hints
and ideas on how to make a basic per-
sonal budget to see you through those
tough financial times. Find out what
items are important to note when plan-
ning a budget, and you’ll be able to see
where you are spending your money and how to
better allocate those important funds!
Sing in the New Year Wednesday, December 30

Get ready to sing in
the New Year with a
fun storytime! We’ll
be singing songs, lis-
tening to a story, mak-
ing New Year’s reso-
lutions, and having a
snack. This program is the perfect way to close
out 2015 and welcome 2016 with open arms!
This program is for kids of all ages.
Let Them Know We Care!
Traditionally, the Dickinson County Library and its branches are collection sites for
donations to various local charities during the holiday season. This year, the library
will be collecting donations for local food pantries to provide necessary food and
supplies to families in need. Non-perishable food and canned goods will be accepted
at all branches of the Dickinson County Library until December 23rd, after which
those items will be delivered to area food pantries. If you have any questions,
please call the Dickinson County Library at 774-1218.

Mission Statement - Dickinson County Library
The Dickinson County Library provides materials and ser-
vices to help residents of the county obtain the information
needed to achieve their personal, educational and professional
goals. The library will serve as an access point for patrons to
obtain interlibrary loan materials. Emphasis is placed on
providing materials and services that stimulate an interest in
reading and learning among children. Our goal is to provide
these services at a reasonable cost.

Get Ready for Adult Winter Reading! “Hot Reads for Cold Nights”
To take advantage of the cold weather season, the Dickinson County Library will
be hosting an Adult Winter Reading program! This is perfect for all those who do
not have time to do Summer Reading, but still want to participate in a fun commu-
nity program! The program, “Hot Reads for Cold Nights” will begin on Monday,
January 18th and run until March 18th.
Adults 18 and over can sign-up at the Dickinson County Library or any of the
branches and receive a reading log to keep track of their books over the winter months. If you have any
