How to Use This Guide The map to the left shows 6 color-coded West Penn Hospital “buildings” that are interconnected, and the separate School of Nursing building. On the other side is a list of departments, hospital areas, and meeting rooms with the “building” and “floor” where each is located. To get from one place to another using this map and list: 1. Find your current location on the map to the left.

2. Take the closest elevator to the second floor of the hospital.

3. Find the “building” (colored triangle) of your destination.

4. Use the map and directional arrows on the walls and overhead signs to travel from your current building to the building you want.

5. Take the elevator in that building to the floor you want.

6. When you exit the elevator, use the overhead and wall signs to find the department, hospital area, or meeting room. For help at any time, please ask any staff member or call extension 5067 from a courtesy (internal) phone - locations are shown on the map.
