How did you get into the venture of creating
Sp yder ?
I’m very wel l educa t ed on how t o s a ve money. I’d ge t t he
cover o f a s ur f ma ga zi ne a nd i n 1983, i t would a dd up t o a bou t
$4,000. I wa s ma ki ng money o f f a l l o f t ha t un t i l one da y I
ha d $33,000 i n my ba nk a ccoun t . I wen t ‘Oh my gos h, I’m
ri ch!’. W i t h a few o t her ven t ures no t working ou t , I drove home
one ni gh t t hi nki ng I wa s goi ng t o buy a P ors che. I t urned l e f t
t o go down t o Goul d o f f o f Ar t es i a , I’m on P CH a nd I l ook
over. T here wa s a t -s hi r t s hop, a wi g s hop for l ea s e a nd a huge
l i q uor s t ore. Bu t I s ee t he l ea s e s i gn ou t o f t he corner o f my
