ABSTRACT

We need a module that can stand alone. So we use cubes and connect them to a consecutive volume.The idea of our module is a combination of the alphabet U and the korean letter ㄹ. These forms allow us to create a maze, which we were inspired by the windows screensaver.For the connections we defi ne surfaces to create rules by saying which one should be together. Because of the U-Form it is possible to connect them easily.The form of our module are not very complex, so we could use lots of technique to fabricate them for example, hotwire cutting or 3D printing.

EVOLUTION OF MODULES DESIGN

- no connections- could not be hold by itself

- too much connections- problems with some area of connections

- wanted to create the old pipe screensaver from windows

but- form is to complex- diffi cult for robot arm

- a combination of the two concepts- less connections and simple- can still create an endless aggregation or a maze
