Application
The power supply module form the power supply unit for Advant-cubicle group together with external DC/DC-converter, external line filter or external EMC-wiring. The power supply module is used to switch the two redundant supply voltages A and B of an Advant - cubicle on and off, limit overvoltages and monitor these voltages.
The module is available in the following versions:
SX450V3: (for Advant AC450+ S100)
with 1 - 7 outputs each, not decoupled, fused USA1 - 5, USA11-USA12, USB1 - 5, USB11-USB12
-with 1 - 3 outputs each, not decoupled, current-limited USA31-USA33, USB31-USB33
-with 2 redundant circuits US31 and US32 decoupled by diodes and fused
SX450V4: (for Advant S100+ S100)
-with 1 - 3 outputs each, not decoupled, current-limited USA31 - USA33 and USB31 - USB33
-with 2 outputs each, not decoupled fused USA11 USA33 and USB31 USB33
-with 2 outputs each, decoupled by diodes, separately fused USA31 - USA32 and US33 - US34.Description
The power supply module is provided for mounting on the mounting plate, see figure 1.
The supply voltages USA 24 V DC and USB 24 V DC are additionally decoupled by diodes and combined to the voltages US31 and US32 for the supply of power supply units or terminal units.
The outputs USA31 - USA33 and USB31 - USB33 with current limitation and not decoupled by diodes are provided for the two-channel supply of the subracks.
Moreover there are another 5 outputs each USA1 USA5 and USB1 USB5, which are fused and not decoupled by diodes. Two fused outputs USA11 USA12 and USB11 USB12 are available in addition.
If operation without the DC/DC converter or without line filter is desired the connectors of the X2 terminals shall be jumpered as specified in the wiring diagram. The EMC-wirings will be built on terminal X1.
Overvoltage protection
The supply voltages USA and USB are protected by an overvoltage protection from overvoltage carried in. Overvoltage is reduced to an uncritical level until it is switched off by external measures.
Mechanical design

Figure 2: Power supply module 24 V DC S100, SX450V4Voltage distributionDifferent circuits are formed for voltage distribution. The fuses are accessible from the front panel of the module.
The following circuits are available in the different versions:
SX450V3: see figure 1.
-2 redundant circuits decoupled by diodes US31 and US32 for sensor supply, supplied from circuits USA and USB.
-1 - 5 outputs each, not decoupled, fused USA1-5 and USB1-5 for the parallel supply of 5 ADVANT subracks.
-2 outputs each, not decoupled, double-fused USA11 - USA12. and USB11 and USB12.
-3 outputs each, not decoupled, current-limited USA31 - USA33 and USB31 - USB33.
SX450V4: see figure 2.
-4 circuits decoupled by diodes, redundant, for sensor supply US31 - US34 from circuits USA and USB.
-3 outputs each, not decoupled, current-limited USA31 - USA33 and USB31 - USB33.
-2 circuits each, not decoupled, fused USA11 - USA12 and USB11 - USB12.
Signalling functionsThe two LEDs H1 and H2 on the front panel indicate the status of the supply voltages.
