Peer-to-peer LAN WAN

A peer to peer (or P2P) computer network uses diverse connectivity between participants in a network and the cumulative bandwidth of network participants rather than conventional centralized resources where a relatively low number of servers provide the core value to a service or application.

A local area network is a computer network covering a small geographic area, like a home, office, or group of buildings e.g. a school.

Wide Area Network (WAN) is a computer network that covers a broad area.

Example for any network whose communications links cross metropolitan, regional, or national boundaries.

CPU RAM ROM

A Central Processing Unit (CPU), or sometimes just called processor, is a description of a class of logic machines that can execute computer programs.

Random access memory is a type of computer data storage where the information is lost after the power is switched off.

Read-only memory is a class of storage media used in computers and other electronic devices.

Example: Hard disk, Flash drive

Application server, a server dedicated to running certain software applications

Communications server, carrier-grade computing platform for communications networks

Database server, Store database Proxy server, provides database IT server in services Fax server, provides fax services for clients File server, provides file services Print server, provides printer services Game server, a server that video game clients

connect to in order to play online together Web server, a server that HTTP clients connect to in

order to send commands and receive responses along with data contents

A network hub or concentrator is a device for connecting multiple twisted pair or fiber optic Ethernet devices together.

A wireless access point (WAP or AP) is a device that allows wireless communication devices to connect to a wireless network.

Wireless Network Adapter is device to connect and transfer data together through whether the access point or not.

A network card, network adapter, LAN Adapter or NIC (network interface card) is a piece of computer hardware designed to allow computers to communicate over a computer network.
