i. Using the blunt end
of clean toothpick,carefully scrapesome cells from theinside of your cheek
ii. Spread the scrapingsonto clean slide
iii. Add a drop of iodinesolution to the smear
iv. Place a cover slip atan angle to thesolution on the slide.Slowly slide the cover
slip to cover thespecimen withouttrapping any airbubble
v. Clear and dry up anysolution on the slideand around the coverslip with a filter paper
vi. Examine the cheekcells under themicroscope, first onlow magnification,
then on highmagnification. Drawthe structure of thecheek cells in thespace provided
