Cyberbullying

• Cyber bullying is the use of information technology to repeatedly harm or harass other people in a deliberate manner.

• Cyber-bullying could be limited to posting rumors or gossips about a person in the internet bringing about hatred in other’s minds; or it may go to the extent of personally identifying victims and publishing materials severely defaming and humiliating them.

Cyber Stalking

• Cyber stalking is in fact cyber bullying when practiced by adults towards adults

• cyberstalkers try to damage the reputation of their victim and turn other people against them.

How cyber stalking and cyber bullying is done??

• There are two methods for this purpose:

1) By repeated abusing or defaming of victim about any past incident

2) By sending or posting cruel rumors and falsehoods to damage reputation and friendships

How to get yourself safe??

• Be careful about adding any person into your friend list

• Never tell your any embarrassing secret to anyone over internet

• Always be concerned what you are posting• Don’t visit web sites or pages where bulling is done.

What to do if a cyberbully targets you??

• Report online that person’s activities• Let your parents or elders know • Ignore that person or block if possible!• If safe limit is crossed , report the police and secure

your fame.

Financial cyber crimes are those crimes in which a person is deceived by another person financially by using computer or

internet

How they affect?

Financial crimes with the help of internet affect our every day life. In recent times these are most

occurring cyber crimes. With growing transactions

and business activities , threat of financial crimes through internet has greatly increased. Scams, phishing are two most threatening crimes of this category.

How are these done??

A person is caught prey of phishing, Then that person is tricked to click on a link and malicious software is downloaded which sends sensitive information to third parties.

Most common financial cyber crimes :

Bank transactions hijackingATM hacking Online frauds for bogus business dealings Carders

Prevention from such types of crimes:

Not sharing you financial secrets over internet ever.Never caught prey of phishing.Never download unauthorized software.Protect your computer .Most important one is “don’t be greedy”.

• Most drug pushers are using internet to sell drugs and other things related to it through internet to youth for parties , functions and other occasions.

Penalties of this cyber crime:

• Different countries have different punishments for this crime!

• In Pakistan , FIA is responsible for uprooting this type of crime and can put severe punishes to who do it.
