PERSONAL STATEMENT
I am a highly motivated graduating student in ‘Game Art & Design’. Since I understand the importance of gaining experience through working in a team, I think an internship in the game industry would be a perfect way to take my skills to a higher level. Through this internship I can experience first hand what it is like to be working in a professional environment. Moreover, working with and around people who have been in the business for a long time, will help me creating a realistic vision of the job-‐related-‐future that lies ahead of me.

During all of the above-‐mentioned jobs, I worked within a team-‐based culture, providing a quality service to customers. This involved organisational skills, patience and a high level of commitment. Moreover, I picked up the invaluable skill of dealing with difficult customers/parents and obtrusive visitors. Working under pressure was a daily reality.
Also, in my current study, it is custom for us to participate in different ‘cases’ on a regular basis. In these cases we receive an assignment, which we have to complete in 3 weeks. During these weeks we work in small teams, each creating our own concepts. This work method is implemented with the aim of preparing us for our future work environment.
Given the fact that I have successfully completed several of these cases, I am well prepared to function in a dynamic team-‐based work environment.

INTERESTS Games: Games have always been a passion of mine. Up until now they still manage to spark my curiosity. Although I enjoy them in every aspect (from visuals to mechanics), I still think there should be a healthy balance between games and social life. Technology: In my opinion, keeping up with technology is a necessity, especially when confronted with it on a daily basis. I am convinced that technology improves and facilitates our everyday life and therefore we should embrace it. Acting (drama): Throughout my career as an amateur actor and assistant director in my local drama club, I have gained many social skills. I have encountered and dealt with many stressful situations. Playing for an audience, speaking in front of a crowd, controlling my nerves and being flexible in finding a way to combine this demanding hobby with school.
