VOLTAGE REGULATOR LM 7805
A LM7805 Voltage Regulator is a voltage regulator that outputs +5 volts.
The LM7805, like most other regulators, is a three-pin IC.
Pin 1 (Input Pin): The Input pin is the pin that accepts the incoming DC voltage, which the voltage regulator will eventually regulate down to 5 volts.
Pin 2 (Ground): Ground pin establishes the ground for the regulator.
Pin 3 (Output Pin): The Output pin is the regulated 5 volts DC.
HOW RELAY WORKS
In figure the relay is off. The metal arm is at its rest position and so there is contact between the Normally Closed (N.C.) switch contact and the 'common' switch contact.
If a current is passed through the coil, the resulting magnetic field attracts the metal arm and there is now contact between the Normally Open (N.O.) switch contact and the common switch contact.
LCD DISPLAY LM 016L
LM 016L is a 14 pin lcd IC. It operates on +5v power supply.
Pin 1 is connected to the ground.Pin 2 is connected to +5v power supply
VDD.Pin 3 is connected to VEE.Pin 4 is connected to instruction code
input i.e the data input.Pin 5 is connected to the data read and
write.Pin 7 is the enable port.Pin 7 to 14 i.e D0-D7 ports are
connected to the data line bus. They are connected to the port 2 of the microcontroller.
555 MONOSTABLE MULTIVIBRATOR
Initially, when the output at pin 3 is low i.e. the circuit is in a stable state, the transistor is on and capacitor- C is shorted to ground. When a negative pulse is applied to pin 2, the trigger input falls below +1/3 VCC, the output of comparator goes high which resets the flip-flop and consequently the transistor turns off and the output at pin 3 goes high. This is the transition of the output from stable to quasi-stable state, as shown in figure. As the discharge transistor is cut off, the capacitor C begins charging toward +VCC through resistance RA with a time constant equal to RAC. When the increasing capacitor voltage becomes slightly greater than +2/3 VCC, the output of comparator 1 goes high, which sets the flip-flop. The transistor goes to saturation, thereby discharging the capacitor C and the output of the timer goes low, as illustrated in figure.Thus the output returns back to stable state from quasi-stable state.

ULN 2003 IC
ULN 2003 IC is a high voltage and high current array IC. They are basically current amplifiers that are used to interface motor or LED's to controller. Motor needs more current to drive the rotor. The current at port pins are very less around 25mA. So we use current amplifier to drive the motor.
ULN 2003 IC is for 5V TTL, CMOS logic devices. These ICs are used when driving a wide range of loads and are used as relay drivers, display drivers, line drivers etc, Stepper motors.
