CRH develops and manufactures high–quality seat structures which sat-isfy the high demands of the automotive industry. Our range of products covers all types of vehicles and applications as well as all strength and durability requirements. Even with special loads or under difficult package constraints, CRH always has the optimal solution for you.
Whether you require standard applica-tions for high volume production or special applications for special model ranges, CRH will develop, design and supply the optimal product. In CRH’s complete seat structures, all parts are perfectly matched with one another and optimized for lightweight design. All seat structures are designed according to modules and available in both manual and powered versions.
But CRH’s expertise and range of products go beyond the area of seat design and development. CRH is one of the pioneers in the development of steering column adjustment. We supply extremely compact systems which meet the highest safety requirements and set the market standard in the field of acoustics.
Special–purpose solutions can offer a significant plus in comfort and safety, variable interior concepts, child seat mechanisms for rear seat applications, and crash–active head restraint sys-tems.
Just as important as the design of the product is the optimal development of the total production process. Our Cus-tomer Business Units (CBUs) ensure seamless collaboration with our clients from the very beginning. Technical and commercial expertise are combined to find the most effective course from de-sign to full–scale production. Constant transparent monitoring and standardiza-tion of all processes ensure the same high quality. Last but not least, CRH’s global presence enables close coopera-tion with our clients and suppliers in a smoothly functioning supply chain.
Use our know-how and benefit from our uncompromised quality standards.
Whether proven solu-tions for seat adjust-ment, comprehensive complete solutions, or special-purpose so-lutions, the range of CRH products meets all present and future demands of the auto-motive industry. Test us out! We accept your challenge.

This seat structure is equipped exclusively with pow-ered adjusters for all functions. For the application shown here, a special single–sided power recliner was developed with an integrated function for folding forward. The cushion extension is realized by a move-ment of the complete cushion pan over the cushion frame. The structure is designed for a high level of lateral rigidity.
For optimal rear occupant foot space, the structure is designed to “hang,” i.e., be directly mountable on the doorsill.

It’s no different for car seats: the whole is greater than the sum of its parts. The seamless combina-tion of all the indi-vidual parts into a functioning system is a critical point and an art form – an art form that we at CRH have perfected over many years.
From the beginning to the end of its development of seat structure compo-nents, CRH ensures the serviceability of its construction. The use of highly developed and tested modules mini-mizes development time and maximiz-es reliability. The consistent implemen-tation of technically uncompromised standards allows for the economic realization of further individual devel-opments which make the wide use of models possible.
The high quality of CRH products is due, among other things, to the fact that many components are manu-factured with tools developed and built by CRH itself. In this way we can ensure that the individual parts function perfectly in subsequent total system solutions. This manufacturing know-how is fully integrated into our structural development. Our experi-ence in systems integration enables us to assign specific uses to the com-ponents, regardless of whether they are produced by us or by selected suppliers.
All this coupled with the close inte-gration and interaction of all partners involved – clients, suppliers, and CRH – ensure that optimal safety and the highest degree of seating comfort are achieved, regardless of whether you use individual CRH components or complete CRH seat structures for your vehicles.

With our experience in seat kinematics and gear development, we are finding other uses for our adjustment units in the automo-tive field.
Special-purpose solutions can offer a significant plus in traveling comfort and safety, for example maximum strength for extreme situations, variab-le interior concepts, child seat mecha-nisms for rear seat applications, and crash-active head restraint systems.
The creativity of our employees is not limited to seat structures. Whenever they see a problem for which CRH can provide a solution, they simply come up with new ideas. Here their creativity takes not only the needs of the driver into consideration, but also the manufacturer’s requirements – for extraordinary products, new applica-tions, and improved ergonomics.

mORe saFeTy THROUgH INNOvaTIve TeCHNOlOgy Spinal cord injuries, known more com-monly as whiplash injury, are among the most common injuries in automobile accidents. By means of the new Nectec* head restraint unit, injury risk of this kind will be reduced in the future.
The active head restraint is based on a simple, robust, and failsafe application concept. The Nectec module is com-prised of a taut spring system which is activated in the event of a rear-end colli-sion, with the head restraint coming into the correct position within fractions of a second. In a collision, the head restraint moves forward and prevents the typical, slam like recoil of the occupants head. In this way, the module can meet the requirements needed for the soon to be introduced sixth Euro NCAP crash test star. Moreover, the system can be reacti-vated for further deployment..
The head restraint also remains com-pletely closed during crash activation. The mechanical integrity of the device is protected against damage or manipula-tion. Nor is there any risk of injury during reactivation. The small number of com-ponents deployed also makes it a very lightweight system.
