What makes a good talk?

Before starting

Always keep • the purpose and tone of your talk• the purpose of your slides• your audience as great listeners• yourself as a unique person• the simple rules of design

• Body language & Powerpoint on TED1, 2, 3, (2 minutes each video)• Brainstorm on observations

• Use Emotion less data, more stories! • Be Novel in content and delivery• Emphasise on the visual with relevance• Decide what needs to be remembered• Don’t rush to fit everything in – have less• Keep eye contact with audience• Don’t rely on a script –> don’t read it!!
