A How-To Guide

Creating a Video for Prezi

Log into DE Streaming and search for an

image of your subject. (Any available search

will work, but DE works at school)

Once you find the image you want,

download the MEDIUM version to

your hard drive.

Go to www.findsounds.com to search for a sound effect.

Deselect the sound file types except for MP3. Search for

your subject.

Right click on the file you want and save the file to your

hard drive.

Open Photo Story 3

Click to import pictures and find the image you downloaded earlier.

Because the sound file is only 7 seconds long, you

will want to repeat the sound. To do that you need

several copies of your image. Insert the same image several times.

Notice that this image has a black border at the top. To get tid of that click Remove

Black Borders.

This page will show you what the program

recommends. Choose Yes to All and save all the

images

There is one more thing you have to do to these

pictures. They are set to pan across the screen, but

we want them to be stationary.

Click Next in Photo Story until you come to this

screen. Click Customize Motion.

On the first picture Click the two boxes marked. Then

Save. Then click the forward arrow to go to the

second slide.

On the second slide (and all the remaining ones) click the three boxes

shown. Save. Repeat for all the remaining slides.

Then click Close.

The next thing is to add your audio file. Click the first slide and then Select

Music.

Find your file and click Open.

Notice that the audio file is only over the first slide.

Select the second slide and repeat the steps to

insert the audio file.

Repeat until all the slides have an audio file

attached.

In the next screen click Browse. Choose a place to export your file. Rename it

to whatever you want.

The default location is My Videos in the My

Documents folder on a PC.

Also click Save Project and name it the same as

your video file. This allows you to go back

and edit without having to start over.

Click next and your video should start to "build".

At this screen you can either preview your video

or exit the program.

To upload to Prezi it is best if the file is an FLV flash file. Convert this video at

Zamzar.
