Basic Layout of Endnote
Frequently use tabs
Endnote Tab on Word 2013
Reference Via Endnote
• Click on Pubmed (NLM)
• Define your search criteria
• Click on search
Search option• Define your search reference
Getting Reference from PubMed
• File will be download as “citations.nbib”
• Locate the file in your download folder
• Locate the file in your respective download folder
• Click on “citations”
• Reference will be imported to Endnote automatically
• Reference imported.
• Most journals or database has similar function– Scopus– Embase
• Click on export.• File will be
downloaded as scopus.ris
• Click on “scopus.ris”
• The reference will be automatically imported to endnote

• Vancouver, commonest• But, depends on the journal and “Gaya UKM”
(Thesis)• Where to look for specific style for a particular
journal– http://endnote.com//downloads/styles
• Copy the BMJ.ens file from your download folder and paste into your style folder
• But, need to restart Endnote
Style Manager
