JOB DESCRIPTION Cosmetologists provide personal care and
enhancement services on the hair, skin and nails that include: shampooing, cutting, styling, coloring, perming, apply makeup, dress wigs, perform hair removal, and manicure hands and feet.

WORKING CONDITIONS
Working in a salon is a physically active occupation with most duties being performed in a standing position
You will be working directly with the general public in a salon and employees are usually required to follow a dress code or be in uniform. A cosmetologist should expect to be a productive team member, be creative, and possess good communication skills.
EDUCATION
The Cosmetology Program at Lawrence Co. CTC provides students with good attendance the 1250 hours of training necessary to take the Cosmetology State Board Exam. Upon passing the exam, students will receive their license. Continuing education is advised due to changes in fashion trends, product knowledge and new techniques.
