Entry into the Cosmetology program requires prior admission. Contact Eastern Arizona Academy of Cosmetology at (928) 348-8878 or theacademy@vtc.net for additional information or an Admissions Packet. Upon acceptance, the Academy will coordinate student registration with Eastern Arizona College prior to classes beginning. Students will not be allowed to register for these classes on their own. All courses must be completed with a grade of "C" or better--Be sure to check the catalog for other changes and requirements.
• EAC equivalent writing placement score of 70 or higher entered into your student record OR • Completion of ENG 100, Writing Fundamentals, or higher with a grade of “C” or better. • Completion of BUS 111, Business Mathematical Calculations, with a grade of “C” or better. • EAC equivalent mathematics score of 41 or higher entered into your student record OR • Completion of MAT 100, Applied Mathematics, or higher with a grade of “C” or better.
An AAS in cosmetology is also available. Students interested in the Cosmetology AAS – 20111 should contact Gayrene Claridge, Supervisor, Job Placement and Occupational Advising or Janice Lawhorn, Ph.D., Dean of Curriculum and Instruction for assistance in registering in the General Education Requirement and Elective Requirement courses for this program.
