V. COMMUNICATIONS Pitch-In Week: Clerk Bulmer advised that the organizers of the national Pitch-In Week initiative

have requested that all volunteers hold their community-based clean up at a date and time that is safe in consideration of the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic. As such, Pitch-In Week is postponed indefinitely.

THAT Planner Wither’s report, dated April 3, 2020, concerning a Zoning By-Law Amendment, Deeming By-Law and an Application for Site Plan Approval, be received.

Planner Withers provided a verbal summary of his report and its various

procedural components (zoning by-law amendment, deeming by-law, and site plan agreement). Members of Council took the opportunity to ask questions and seek clarification from Planner Withers. The adoption of the recommendations contained within this report serves as a housekeeping matter to bring the zoning of the identified parcel in line with the rest of the hospital campus, merges former residential properties acquired by the hospital, and finally allows for the orderly development of a cafeteria expansion.

VII. BOARDS AND COMMISSIONS VIII. BY-LAWS By-Laws 26-2020, 27-2020 and 28-2020 were given three readings and

passed. IX. NEW AND UNFINISHED BUSINESS Mayor Eady asked Clerk Bulmer to speak to the matter of operational updates

from the various town departments. Clerk Bulmer advised that the Finance Committee, at its meeting held April 9th, requested operational updates from the respective Senior Managers. Timing of this request didn’t allow for these updates to be presented this evening, however, the Senior Management Team will discuss and determine how best to prepare and present this information.

Councillor Heins thanked the Senior Management Team for their continued

diligence, hard work, and response to the COVID-19 crisis. She also noted that the Province of Ontario has extended its Emergency Declaration by 28 days.

Mayor Eady provided a brief update on the impact of COVID-19 in Renfrew

County, citing the following statistics: Person’s Tested: 873 Negative Results: 618 Pending Results: 171 Confirmed Cases: 14 Related Deaths: 1 X. CLOSED SESSION XI. CONFIRMING BY-LAW
