Dear Parents

As part of Online Safety Week,

we hope the children enjoyed

trying to guess our staff ‘two

truths and a lie’ - I am very

curious to get to the bottom of

the strange and wonderful

statements!

There is still time for the children

to comment with their guesses.

A reminder about the wonderful

poster design competition based

on the theme of ’An internet we

trust’. The deadline has been

extended to the end of half-term

and entries should be uploaded

via Google Classroom. There are

lots of lovely prizes on offer!

Thank you to Mr Edwards for

organising the Safer Internet Day

and raising awareness of the

importance of staying safe

online.

British Science Week is in March,

however we will be moving ours

to later in the year when the

children return to school.

Attached to the newsletter e-mail

is a fabulous science competition

that the children can join. There

are also some great activities at

www.britishscienceweek.org

Sincere condolences to the family of Mrs Doreen Hull for their sad loss. Mrs Hull was a teacher at

Coppermill in the 1950s & 1960s and is pictured in this fantastic photo with her class:

Doreen lived locally until she was 95 and had a wonderful life! Thank you to her son Stephen and husband Roy, for sharing her history and photographs with us. He said “I know Mum

enjoyed her time at the old Coppermill very much – a far cry from your current school but I know

Mum would have wanted to pass on her best wishes for all the hard work being done by your

current staff to keep schools open during this really challenging time”.

is the founder of Walthamstow Youth

Circus and she is currently running virtual

Yoga Circus classes.

The Walthamstow Youth Circus are running

‘The Yoga Circus’ at home on Tuesdays from

4.50pm - 5.30pm.

Everyone is welcome to join this fun session

which builds strength, balance and creativity using yoga and circus

challenges. This session is designed for young

people to practise with other members of their

household from ages 6 - 106!

Suggested contribution is £6.50 per household and free for households with

no income.

online workshops, led by local artists, for half-term week.

The workshops are free and they can even provide materials.
