Seaming Rolls made ofdifferent Materials andCoatings

Seaming Chucks made ofdifferent Materials andCoatings

The process CVD (Chemical VapourDeposition) produces the steamphase of the compounds to platethrough the chemical reactionsoccurring at a temperature range of800 / 1000 °C.

The deposit coloured in goldenyellow, is represented by a triplelayer TiN-TiC-TiN for a variable totalthickness value from 6 to 8 µmhaving a variable hardness of 2800/ 3200 HV.

The PVD coating (Physical VapourDeposition) acts undertemperature conditions within250-480 °C and is realizedthrough an ionic bombardment ofthe compounds followed by thedeposition phase.

The golden yellow deposit isformed by a TiN layer with avariable thickness from 5 to 6 µmand has a variable hardnesswithin the range of 2700 - 3000HV.
