Community service can be a wide variety of things including:

Helping clean up you neighborhood.

Helping at the local food drive.

Feeding the homeless on special occasion or during certain parts of the year.

Local places such as the North Texas Food Bank help feed hungry citizens of north Texas.

Habitat for Humanity help those with out a place to live or those that have little to no living comfort. They help those that have been affected by natural disasters.

The Ronald McDonald House helps families with a place to stay when their child is in the hospital.

This one is close to my heart. The Society of the prevention of animal cruelty or SPCA help local animals that would normally die, or are in bad home environments find a better home and heal.
