Over 1,800 families came to us for help in 2013, 10 times the number that came to the Center in 1992.

183 tons of food were distributed to families during 6,982 Pantry visits.

Fresh produce

Seasonal fruits and vegetables from local farms and cooperatives

MBIA Foundation grant provides funds during the winter months

Food Bank for Westchester provides “Green Thumb” produce

Children comprise 34% of those who received food from the Center’s food pantry.

Clothing Bank

87 tons of donated clothes, shoes and linens were distributed during more than 7,400 visits to our Clothing Boutique.

Phone and text messages to clients for classes, workshops, and health clinics.

Messages sent in English and Spanish.

We have sent more than 30,000 phone messages and 20,000 text messages.

2 TV screens, one near Noya’s office and one in the Food Pantry, inform clients of their responsibilities, as well as CCNW classes and programs.

Brand-new car seats provided by the Bedford Police Department

Cornell University Cooperative Extension course Seven 90-minute sessions offered quarterly Nutrition, food safety, healthy meal planning and physical activity 35 clients completed the course in 2013

YWCA of White Plains provides screenings at CCNW

CCNW refers clients to LensCrafters locations in Mt. Kisco and White Plains

80 clients received free exam and glasses

Northern Westchester Hospital Health Screenings

Nurses conduct monthly screenings at CCNW Administer flu shots, osteoporosis/bone density screening, blood pressure, etc.

School Supplies

670 children received new school supplies

Holiday Share & Share the Warmth

Collect and distribute special holiday foods during November and December Collect new warm children’s sleepwear and distributed to 747children

Prom Clothes Drive

Collect and distribute prom dresses and formalwear to local teens

60 girls received prom or party dresses and accessories

Provides financial assistance to qualifying students
