THE PROJECT

In the summer of 2014 the city of Glasgow was a successful and proud host of the 2014Commonwealth Games. As part of this event, the facility to create accommodation for all thoseparticipating was to develop the Athletes Village. The creation of a legacy after the Games ofproviding sustainable housing for local people within the area has been exciting. This developmentand project is one that Edison Energy has been delighted to deliver Solar Energy to.

SYSTEM INFORMATION

With the Games now over and the first tenants arriving, the 700 properties have been adapted andtransferred to Thenue Housing Association, West of Scotland Housing Association and GlasgowHousing Association as well as 300 private owners. We look forward to continuing to deliver ourservice to all 700 properties and ensuring that every householder continues to benefit from the freeelectricity. A community energy project, as successful as the games were.
