PARTNERSHIP PROJECT 2013-2015 "I love music, I love drama, I love life"
4th Mobility
LODZ, POLAND
27th-29th October 2014
The 4th mobility was organised by ZNP Primary school in
Lodz from 27th October-29th October 2014.
All partners arrived in Warsaw and were greeted by
Jacek Rozga, the Polish coordinator, at the airport. Train
ride to Lodz, greeted by Robert. Host families picked up
the students. Everyone settled in at the hotel FOCUS and then all the participants had
dinner at a local restaurant.
MONDAY 27th OCTOBER
Arrival at the school at 9:00. The visiting teachers were warmly greeted by the staff of the
school.
Ice-breaking activities followed for the
children and teachers to interact.
After that we were welcomed into the
classrooms which were dedicated to each
participating country.
A Polish language lesson for teachers was up
next and also a short test in the end! It was
a fun activity.
After lunch the students of all participating
countries presented ppts on a local playwright
they had prepared.
At 14:30 we departed from school for a visit
to the Town hall. We were greeted and guided
around the town hall by members of the city
council.
Late in the evening we all went for dinner and
drinks to wind down.
TUESDAY 28th OCTOBER
9:00 – 11:00 : A visit to a local theatre. Teachers and students were shown around all the
different parts which constitute a theatre (backstage, lighting, scenery etc.). then followed
theatre workshop activities ( improvisations, pantomimes, drama games etc.) by a
professional actor. Both students and teachers were fascinated by the activities.
14:00 – 15:00 : A walk around the town and a visit to old textile factories which are now
shopping centres. Lunch at a traditional polish restaurant.
In the evening all participating countries were welcomed at the school with food, music and
dance. The buffet of traditional polish dishes was superb!
WEDNESDAY 29TH OCTOBER
Comenius meeting in the morning to evaluate the activities till that date and to plan the ones
to follow, in detail.
Attended various language classes. Visited a textile museum, the royal palace and had a great
time at the thermal springs.
Farewell dinner.
THURSDAY 30TH OCTOBER
The host families brought the students to the hotel, and all the groups departed for
Warsaw, accompanied by Jacek and Lukas, with beautiful memories.

5th MOBILITY
CATANIA SICILY
19TH- 22ND JANUARY 2015
SUNDAY 18TH JANUARY 2015
On arrival at Catania airport, a taxi was waiting to take us to Gresi Hotel, where we were all
staying. Paola was waiting there for us with a warm smile. When all groups had arrived we
headed out for our first italian dinner at the Cavalier Roxy restaurant! Great food, warm
atmosphere. Everyone returned to the hotel after a great meal, satisfied but exhausted. A
good night’s sleep for all.
MONDAY 19TH JANUARY 2015
At 8:00 am we head off for Catania
city council which is situated in the
centre of the city, next to the church
of Santa Agatha. The principal of the
Montessori Comprehensive school,
together with the Mayor of Catania
greeted us and showed us around the
Town Hall. We walked around the
building in awe – luxurious offices,
beautiful artwork, luscious carpets...
After the Town hall we enjoyed a walk
around the open market of Catania and
of course the fishmarket with
Carmella and Paola. Beautiful colours, a
scene taken out of a movie!
At 12:30 we were welcomed at school with tasty
sweets and fruit and were introduced to the
history of Catania and Sicily in general. A teacher
told us a few things about why and how theatrical
education is exploited in the classrooms. We then
had lunch in a beautiful wine bar.
In the afternoon we visited the monastery of the
Benedictine nuns.
Dinner and a good night’s sleep.
TUESDAY 20TH JANUARY
After breakfast, we visited the opera theatre Teatro Massimo Bellini where our Polish
partner sang Ave Maria! Then, she played the piano and students and teachers sang with her.
It was an amazing experience!
10:30-12:00 we returned to school where we were greeted by the principal and the rest of
the teachers. The school
orchestra and choir played
and sang for us. Dancing
followed. After that we
visited the classrooms and
learnt about the italian
educational system.
Traditional lunch at school
and Comenius group
meeting where details of
the program activities
were discussed.
15:30 a visit to Acitrezza and Acicastello.
When we returned to Catania we visited a traditional sicilian puppet theatre workshop at
Opera dei Pupi where we learnt about the art of puppeteering.
Dinner for all. The
Greek and Spanish
groups then had an
amazing night at the
opera!
WEDNESDAY 21ST JANUARY
We began early in the morning for our visit to Etna. We walked aroung lava flows and inactive
craters which was an awesome experience. Lunch in Santa Teresa Riva. Then we visited the
picturesque town of Taormina. Returned to the hotel and then the farewell dinner. Delicious
seafood in a traditional italian restaurant.
THURSDAY 22ND JANUARY
Farewell and departure. The Romanian and Turkish groups enjoyed an extra day in Catania.

6th MOBILITY
ANKARA, TURKEY
16th MAY- 19th MAY 2015
SUNDAY 15th MAY
All partners arrive in Ankara greeted by teachers of the host country and settle in at
Hakimavi hotel. The Greek and Romanian groups, because of early arrival, had a chance to
have dinner in a downtown mall in the centre of Ankara with Asli, the coordinator of the
program, the principal and other teachers involved in the program.
MONDAY 16th MAY
Breakfast at the hotel and arrival at Dedeman primary school at 9:00. Warm welcome by
teachers and students. Traditional songs and dances by the students.
On entering the school we were all given Turkish delight.
We were shown around the school premises
and then we gathered to watch a group of
students who played traditional musical
instruments and sang Turkish songs, after
being officially welcomed by the principal of
the school. All partners presented their
musicograma to the rest of the countries and
then we were introduced to the technique of
emru or marble painting by students. It was
an amazing experience and we all had the
chance of creating our own work of art which
we took with us on our departure.
At around 13:00 we had lunch in a traditional restaurant or konak where we tasted local
cuisine and then visited the museum of Αnatolian Civilisations.
A walk around the old city of Ankara followed and a short stop in an art gallery for a glass of
wine offered to us by the owner of the galley, a very hospitable lady. We then visited the old
castle of Ankara and enjoyed our coffee in a traditional Turkish coffee shop. At 19:30 we
had dinner at a konak with a magnificent view of the city by night. Musicians played
traditional music and everyone danced to the rhythm. After a long day, we returned to the
hotel full of wonderful pictures in our minds.
TUESDAY 17th MAY
We arrived at the school early in the morning and we were greeted by the kindergarten
students with dances. We were all
given handmade crafts. Later on we
attended various classes. We
watched a performance of a
pantomime and enjoyed Turkish
music and songs in the drama room.
Each group entered a classroom
dedicated to the particular country
and enjoyed songs and dances of
their country. In one of the
classrooms Turkish women showed
us how to make traditional pies,
very tasty.
Αt around 14:00 we returned to the
hotel where an amazing buffet was
set with traditional Turkish food cooked by the students’ parents. After the wonderful lunch
it was time to visit the grandiose mausoleum of Kemal Ataturk.
Next we visited Panora mall and then dinner and dancing followed. At midnight we returned
to the hotel and set off on the journey for Istanbul. (The Irish and Italian groups returned
to their countries)
WEDNESDAY 18th MAY
Arrival in Istanbul very early in the morning. Drove around the streets of the city and after
breakfast we visited the Blue mosque, the Hippodrome, Dolma Bahche palace and had a lovely
cruise on the Bosphorus enjoying a light lunch.
Late in the afternoon we arrived at Bade hotel and the day ended with dinner at Olympus
tavern in Galata.
THURSDAY 19th MAY
The day started off with a
visit to Top Kapi, Hagia
Sophia and the Cistern.
After lunch we visited the
picturesque Grand Bazaar.
At night we enjoyed dinner
at Kumkapi where we had
the opportunity to watch
belly dancing!
FRIDAY 20th MAY
After a unique experience all groups started out for their hometowns.
