#10 Google Earth

I use this all the time for my Science and Social Studies lessons.

This is a great tool for any teacher to use.

It gives great satellite images on this site.

My students love navigating through this site

#9 Google Groups: Projects

Google states “you can set up your very own place to communicate and collaborate, safely and securely, with others online.”

This would be great for those take home projects for my students.

This would allow parents to collaborate with me in completing projects or assignments.

There is also a link for educators to collaborate, this would be great for out of school conversations and meetings.

#8 Google Books

I loved this one! We can search for any book we like.

This would help for finding full text books for your classroom.

Also, this would provide books for research or other information to an educator.

Special education teachers and teachers could also benefit from this to find helpful books on disabilities.

#7 Google News

Newspapers are of the past now. (I still like holding one though )

Google news allows you to keep up with current events, weather, and news.

This would also be great to teach my students different categories of news. For example: Entertainment, Weather, Local, etc.

#6 Google Images

I absolutely loved this one!

I use this all the time to show my students pictures of real objects.

This allows you to copy images of your choice into your lessons or presentations.

Millions of images to chose from!!!!! Literally!

#5 Google Scholar

I use this one very often for my college course work.

I can use this to search different styles of teaching.

I can use this to search the latest and greatest research on Special Education topics

I also enjoy reading research!

#4 Bookmark manager

This is a great way for me to have all those bookmarks of favorite websites I use in my teaching.

I am always taking too much time to find a site.

This would allow me to access those websites quickly while keeping instruction moving.

#3 Google Calendar

My building uses this for all our meetings and events.

This is a great way to keep up with all those important dates and times.

Great tool for scheduling IEP meeting with all parties involved in your building.

This helps with no overlap in meetings and miscommunication, which can be a headache!

#2 Consolidate Email Accounts

This is wonderful! I love being able to access all of my accounts.

Takes less time than trying to access accounts individually.

Never put off checking your emails with this handy tool.

#1 is…CHROME PASS

Throw away all those cluttered pieces of paper that have your passwords on them for anyone to see!

Make an organized list of all your passwords

I will never forget another password!

I will never be denied access to any site again!

EVERYONE NEEDS THIS! I am going to tell everyone about it. I always hear teachers complaining about another password to remember.

No more worries!
