Council is seeking the services of a suitably qualifiedperson to fill the above position for 3 hours per week.The position is responsible for the cleaning of Council’sVisitor Information Centre, located in the main street ofCrookwell.The successful applicant will also be required to beavailable to fill in for Council’s Crookwell Office cleanerif required. Collector Community Outreach Meeting

The Collector community will have a chance to havetheir say on Council’s 2019/2020 Integrated Plans at anOutreach Meeting to be held at the Collector MemorialHall from 6.30pm on Wednesday, 22 May 2019.The Meeting is an opportunity for the community to discuss any issues, concerns and the contents of thefollowing draft Integrated Plans, which include:• Delivery Program 2019-2020 to 2022-2023• Operational Plan 2019-2020• Long Term Financial Plan 2019-2028• Workforce Plan 2019-2020 to 2022-2023• Infrastructure Plan 2019-2028Outreach Meetings were also held at Taralga, Gunningand Crookwell on 1, 8 and 15 May 2019, respectively. The draft Integrated Plans are available on Council’swebsite: www.upperlachlan.nsw.gov.au, at Council’sOffices in Crookwell, Gunning and Taralga or atCrookwell and Gunning Libraries. Council’s Director ofFinance and Administration,Andrew Croke, will be theActing General Manager ofUpper Lachlan ShireCouncil over the next fourmonths while Council’s permanent GeneralManager John Bell is onlong service leave.Daniel Cooper will beCouncil’s Acting Director ofFinance and Administrationduring this time.Mr Croke, who commencedin the role on Monday, 29April 2019, said he wouldbe working to provide consistency for staff andcouncillors and ensure the needs and expectations of the community are met.“My aim is deliver a steady course in the GeneralManager’s absence, while offering a new perspective onhow we can deliver key outcomes for our ratepayers,” MrCroke said.Mr Bell will resume the position of General Manager onMonday, 2 September 2019.

Housing Strategy Community SurveyCouncil is seeking feedback from the community on thefuture of housing in the Upper Lachlan Shire. Council willsoon commence preparing a Housing Strategy to guidethe planning and development of housing in the Shire’s12 villages over the next 10 years and beyond. The firststep in the preparation of the Strategy is to engage withthe community to seek their vision, views and recommendations of how growth in housing should occuracross the Shire in the short, medium and long term.Workshops were held throughout the Shire during April2019 to provide an opportunity for everyone to haveupfront input into the formulation of a draft HousingStrategy. A second round of community workshops will beheld later in the year to review the draft Strategy once it

is prepared.A community survey is now available at: www.upperlachlan.nsw.gov.au/news/housing-strategy-community-survey to ensure those that wereunable to attend the workshops can provide input into theHousing Strategy.
