Working Bee

Thank you to all our parents, students

and staff who worked hard during our

recent working bee. Together we

worked to make our school look clean,

tidy and a wonderful place to be.

International Day

This year our International Day celebrations are going to be held during the

week beginning on Monday 19th March.

As part of our celebrations Robert Bamblett from One Fire Aboriginal Dance

Company will visit our school on Wednesday 21st March 2018. Students will

be immersed in an Indigenous cultural performance that includes dance,

drama and music. Robert is part of

the One Fire Dance troupe and is

one of Melbourne's leading

indigenous dance troupes and has

performed nationally and

internationally.

The performance will begin at

9:30am in our BER Building.

At 11:30 we will hold our Costume

Parade and begin our Clayton South concert in which students will be invited

to perform items from their culture. This will be followed by a whole school

lunch in which students and parents are invited to share food items from

their nation. Parents are welcome to attend for any or all of these events as

well as remain for lunch and share in the celebrations.

The cost of the One Fire Dance Incursion is $5.00 and needs to be paid by

Monday 19th March.

Please come along and enjoy these activities with us.

Principals Report Cont.

Our intensive swimming program concluded last Friday. This year the program was well attended and we

once again thank Life Saving Victoria for sponsoring this program. Thank you to the teachers and staff for

helping this program run so smoothly and assisting the students to make the most of this opportunity. To

those parents who have been coming to help we give you an extra special thank you as well, we appreciate

the assistance.
