It was a cold snowy night on the 24th of December, Christmas this year would be one to remember.

Christmas gave us all excitement and cheer,Santa is up in the sky with all of his reindeer.

This year I’m hoping to get a reallysweet toy.

A racecar or space ship wouldbring joy.

A family dinner and we were the host. All my relatives were here so we made a toast. A toast of happiness! We yelled out with pride.

Glasses were raised in the air, we sat side by side. There is nowhere else in the world that I’d rather be. All the people I love, they mean somuch to me.

It was soon time for bed, I was extremely excited. Thinking of presents gets me oh so delighted.

Cookies and milk sitting on the table, We got Santa the healthy kind, 1% on the label.

I lay in my bed eager to sleep. But when Santa arrived I needed to creep. I stepped down the stairs silent and sneaky.

Santa slid down the chimney real loud and squeaky. I heard a big thump as he reached the ground. Red bag on his back, it was so large and round!

He poured the presents under the tree. Then he glanced on over and stared right up at me. He said, “Hi there little man, someone’s being sassy” I apologized because I knew peaking wasn’t too classy.

He came over to me and gave me a wink. His cheeks were so rosy with a touch of pink. He gave me a hug and reached in his sack. He pulled out a box that was covered in black.

He let me open it right on the spot, and at this moment I loved Santa a lot.

It wasn’t a car or spaceship in the box, instead it was a dog that looked like a fox.

It was the best surprise ever I hugged Santa once more,While the furry new puppy rolled around on the floor.Christmas this year I will never forget.

The Best part of this was that it was Christmas Eve yet.Christmas day came tomorrow, more presents to see, But nothing could compare to Santa’s special gift to me.

Published Nov 19, 2014 at St. Norbert College. A Christmas To Remember was a collaboration of work between two classes. Brandon Carter a teaching major wrote the book, and Thomas Wolf a computer science/graphic design major helped with the visuals of the story. The two came together and worked hard to create this amazing children’s book that they hope others will enjoy as well.
