and promotion of outdoor recreation across Northern

Ireland for both the local community and for visitors.

Objectives

1. Improve facilities for canoeing at range of well used beginner and coaching sites

2. To develop a series of canoe trails

3. To develop a series of events aimed at attracting canoeing visitors from Republic of Ireland and Great Britain

4. To provide advocacy for water development

5. To ensure weir development meets needs of canoeists

6. To provide comprehensive information for visitors and local people on canoeing sites

7. To develop environmental awareness and good practice amongst all canoeists

8. To further good relationships between canoeists, other river users and river managers
