Blood Cholesterol Levels

What is blood cholesterol?

• Although it does not have the effects of

hormones, like testosterone and

cortisol, it is the building block for sex

and stress hormones.

• It is also important for building cells.

• Unfortunately, it is also involved in

clogging arteries.

What is LDL cholesterol?

• By nature cholesterol is not water

soluble, so for it to be transported in the

blood it must be carried by a class of

proteins referred to as lipoproteins.

• Low Density Lipoproteins take cholesterol

from the liver to peripheral tissues.

• High Density Lipoproteins take cholesterol

from the peripheral tissues to the liver for

removal.

What is Bad cholesterol?

• LDL cholesterol is often referred to as

bad cholesterol because these are the

numbers that correlate best with artery

disease.

• When LDL (bad) cholesterol levels in

the blood are high the cholesterol is

often deposited in the arteries perhaps

leading to blockages.

So what do you do if you have

high cholesterol?

• See your family physician.

• They will:

– Tell you to eat healthier

– Tell you to exercise more

– And perhaps put you on a lipid lowering

medication

Is there anything else that you

can do?

• Consider trying MiraFit fbcx, our clinical

trials show that our unique, naturally-

occurring, dietary fiber will lower

elevated levels of LDL (bad) cholesterol

by about 20% in 1-2 months.

At www.mirafit.com.We are more than pleased to list our clinical trials.
