Earlier this year, that emergingtradition was criticized by AlineaGroup co-founder Nick Kokonas whofelt serving fast food was insulting.Emanuel’s team proceeded to tweetthe remarks. During his speech,Emanuel said he didn’t care about thepublic’s perception as he would besoon out of a job. Mayor-elect LoriLightfoot’s inauguration is set for May20.
“Fast food does not belong at 1600Pennsylvania Avenue,” Emanuel said.“And besides that you don’t belong at1600 Pennsylvania Avenue.”
As for Boka, crowds packed Girl & theGoat on Monday night for thecompany’s customary after party.Earlier, Boehm — a huge Cubs fan(Boka has a restaurant, Dutch andDoc’s, across the street from WrigleyField) — said he received a textmessage on Sunday from team GMJed Hoyer after the team’s seventh-straight win.
“Hoyer texted me and said it was aharbinger for Monday,” Boehm said.
