The Polish American Freedom Foundation has partnered with the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation to help Poland’s public libraries

provide access to computers, the Internet, and training. The Library Development Program in Poland is implemented by the

Information Society Development Foundation

addressed to the public libraries with branches in all urban and rural community

and in those municipalities whose population does not exceed 20. 000

implemented in 2009-2013

includes 3327 libraries of 1107local communities

28 million USD from Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation

2nd round: 1 454 libraries (497 communes)

1st round: 1 873 libraries (610 communes)

• The creation: 2009, 150 members• Beneficiaries: seniors• wide activities for seniors carried out in different areas and fields of

knowledge by different methods• Event: Active Seniors Summer, Monday's Seniors Club (weekly lecture +

swimming, yoga, tai chi + trips), computer workshops, workshops in various fields - Crafts, Skype, communicator, Internet, photo, English lessons ...

• Monday Seniors Club• from July 2011 every monday for over a year,• for about 70 people each class• lectures in various fields of knowledge,• classes at the pool• sections of yoga and tai chi
