Top 5 Helpful Hints for Submitting Your Self-Evaluation

5. Use www.ncmahq.org as a resource!

•You can get data such as which of your members have obtained certification during the program year, how many members you had at the beginning of the year and how many at the end so you know if your chapter is growing, staying the same or declining.– You can also send an e mail to chapterrelations@ncmahq.org

•You can check back issues of Contract Management magazine for articles written by members or what photos may have been submitted by your chapter.

•Look at what events you may have posted on the Calendar of Events

4. Write the Executive Summary to tell your story

•The Executive Summary should supplement the worksheet, not parrot it.

• Include your Chapter size in the Executive Summary. This helps the evaluators immensely in their rating determinations.

•Only MS Word or PDF files are permitted. MS Power Point is no longer an acceptable format.

3. Know Your Program Year

•All data on the Self-Evaluation Worksheet should occur within the Program Year: July 1, 2014 – June 30, 2015

2. Submit the Self-Evaluation Worksheet as an editable Excel spreadsheet

•No .pdf files•No password protected files•The evaluators use the spreadsheet for their

input, too, so they need to be able to edit the file.

1. Fill in the Additional Detail/ Information or Description column!!!!

•Without additional detail and information the evaluators have nothing to evaluate.

•Don’t be afraid to elaborate here. It’s better to put it in than leave it out.
