Chapter 3 Interpreting Remainders

6.C.1.a Multiply whole numbers6.C.1.b Divide whole numbers6.C.1.c Interpret quotients and remainders mathematically and in the context of a problem

3.A.1.a Use technology tools, including software and hardware, from a range of teacher-selected options to learn new content or reinforce skills.

Interpreting the remainder:

Sometimes only use the quotient and ignore the remainder.

Sometimes the remainder is part of the answer.

Sometimes you add 1 to the quotient.

Once back at school, students will give presentations about assigned exhibits. If each of the 125 students speak for 9 minutes, how many presentations will there be each day? (Hint: 7 hours = 420 minutes)
