An area of western Virginia that

includes the Blue Ridge and Allegheny Mountains and the

Great Valley

Valley and Ridge Region

Part of the Appalachians that

runs from Pennsylvania to

Virginia and West Virginia

Allegheny Mountains

A pass through the Appalachian

Mountains where Virginia, Kentucky,

and Tennessee meet

Cumberland Gap

Frontier explorer and hunter who helped

find a trail across the Appalachians through the Cumberland Gap

Daniel Boone

An elevated area of woodlands, hollows and

gorges in the far southwestern part of

Virginia
