Doctor of Osteopathy Program Overview

All osteopathy classes are online & in English and Spanish language.

The lectures are available on-demand online through internet or they may be watched on a TV screen by using a portable hard drive that could be shipped to students.

Campus attendance is not required and students from every corner of the world are eligible to apply and study at the comfort of their homes. However students who wish to practice osteopathic techniques under supervision of an osteopath have the choice of attending the optional week long practical techniques review at Madrid, Spain, Toronto, Canada, or a number of other cities once per semester.

The practical lab is not mandatory and students can graduate without attending the lab. NUMSS DO students and graduates can join many associations and are eligible to work in all countries including USA, Canada, Spain, Italy and elsewhere.

In Canada & USA, graduates work as "osteopathic manual practitioners" or "manual osteopaths" as in these two countries, the term "osteopath" is reserved for American style osteopathic physicians who perform surgery and prescribe medications.

NUMSS students in Canada are eligible to receive tuition and textbooks tax credit from the Canadian Revenue Agency as we are accepted as a foreign university by the Canadian government.

Why Choose Osteopathy?

Do you know what is Osteopathy? It is the distinctive form of medical practice that deals with injury and diseases of muscles, bones, joints and nerves. Osteopaths understand how all the body's systems are interconnected and how each one affects the others. They focus special attention on the musculoskeletal system, which reflects and influences the condition of all other body systems.

Why Choose to Study Osteopathy at NUMSS?

Because NUMSS prepares you to be a successful doctor of osteopathy. Program offered at NUMSS is technique oriented and covers subjects like orthopedic bracing, custom made orthotics, decompression therapy, clinical ergonomics, physiotherapy modalities, work & auto injuries rehab.
