LeAnn Rimes scored her first national hit, “Blue,” in 1998 at the age of 13 becoming the youngest person ever to win a Grammy and the first country recording artist to
win the “Best New Artist” category. LeAnn has won two Grammy Awards, three Academy of Country Music Awards, 12 Billboard Music Awards and has sold over
37 million albums. Now in the prime of her career, this multi-award winner will bring her all-acoustic show to Orr Auditorium, to showcase her rich vocals, her songwriting
ability, and to perform the favorites we all know: “How Do I Live (Without You)” which is the second-longest charting single ever on the Billboard Hot 100 chart,
“Can’t Fight the Moonlight,” which went #1 in 11 countries, and “Til We Ain’t Strangers Anymore” (originally recorded with Jon Bon Jovi).

If the phrase “male a cappella group” conjures up an image of students in blue blazers, ties, and khakis singing traditional college songs on ivied campuses…think again.
Straight No Chaser (SNC) are neither strait-laced nor straight-faced. They are reinvent-ing the idea of a cappella on the modern pop landscape. Originally formed over a dozen years ago while students together at Indiana University, the group has reas-
sembled and reemerged as a phenomenon – with a massive fan base, over 35 million views on YouTube, numerous national TV appearances, and proven success with two holiday releases. In an era when so much pop music is the product of digital process-
ing and vocal pro-tooling, Straight No Chaser is the real deal – the captivating sound of ten unadulterated human voices coming together to make extraordinary music that is
moving people in a fundamental sense…and with a sense of humor.

A Christmas CarolThe National Touring Production of Charles Dickens Family Holiday Classic!
December 14, 2012Orr Auditorium • 7:30 p.m.
Nebraska Theatre Caravan’s A Christmas Carol returns to the Orr stage in honor of the 200th Birthday of Charles Dickens
When Dickens wrote his “ghostly little tale” in 1843, he couldn’t know that A Christmas Carol was destined to become one of the most beloved holiday traditions of all time. The NTC production is probably the most widely produced production of Dickens in the nation, annually performing for more than 100,000 people in more than 60 cities
across the country. Twenty-eight performers bring Dickens’ fable of redemption to life as the staging evokes a three-dimensional Victorian Christmas card that literally leaps to life as the setting for one of the most powerful stories of kindness, redemption and the healing powers of the holiday spirit. A full array of traditional Christmas carols is
woven into the classic story of Ebenezer Scrooge.
A Musical Tribute to The CarpentersProduced by Jim Brickman
April 27, 2013Orr Auditorium • 7:30 p.m.
With breathtaking songs that began their life with Karen and Richard Carpenter, Yesterday Once More takes audiences back in time; recapturing the
music an entire generation fell in love with, and fell in love to.
“The passion I feel creating and producing this show is a testament to the lyrics and the harmonies that made us fall in love with these hit songs.”
– Jim Brickman
Yesterday Once More is enhanced with behind-the-scenes stories and anecdotes of the pop culture of the ’70s, along with lush arrangements by Jim Brickman of songs like “We’ve Only Just Begun”, “Rainy Days and Mondays”, and “Close To You.” Vocalists Joanna Jahn (The Karen Carpenter Musical), Broadway sensation Jen Burleigh-Bentz
(Mamma Mia!), and international recording artist John Trones accompanied by a four-piece band bring world-class appeal to this live soundtrack of love, life and heartbreak.
