Fame and Identity

– The other side of you?

Look at these images, all the artists are interested in the idea of

‘Fame and Identity’.

They are thinking about what if means to be famous and how we look at famous people.

Stage 1- Choose one slide and answer the questions.

Stage 2 - Create your own piece of work

Choose just one slide and answer these questions

1. Find out about the artist when and where did/do they live?2. Look at the art work and summarize what you think it is about.3. Explain the feelings or thoughts you have when you look at it.4. How could you develop this idea further?5. Why is this a good example of an artist’s work on the theme of FAME AND

IDENTITY?6. Has this picture made you think about the theme in a different way? – if so try to

explain7. Do you think that this idea could be taken further (try to explain)8. How could you work in a similar way?

then - CHOOSE A SUBJECT FOR YOUR OWN FOUR WEEK PROJECT TO BE DONE IN YOUR BOOK ON THE THEME OF ‘FAME AND IDENTITY – the other side…’

You will be working on this for the next three weeks. Your project could any of the following:- drawings, painting, photographs, a linked series of photos, images manipulated on the computer……You might even decide to put your work into a powerpoint presentation.
