The Foundation "Città della Speranza" was

established on the 16th December 1994 in

memory of Massimo, a child dead because

of the leukemia, and to satisfy the lack of

hospital structures in Padua area.

lnauguration of Pediatric Oncology Hematology Department

(1.200.000 euro + 2.000.000 public contributes)

October 1996

lnauguration of Day Hospital and Research laboratories of the Pediatric Oncology Clinic (4.500.000 euro)

lt has started financing research projects (At today 9.400.000 euro at the financed projects + 5.400.000 euro for the diagnostic project)

Inauguration of the new Pediatric First Aid (1.000.000 of euro + 1.000.000 public contributes)

Presentation of the new lnstitute of Pediatric Research Città della Speranza (The expected cost of the Città della Speranza IRP is 25 million of euros)

Over 30 million of Euro rised since the beginning of our activity, to which must be added around 4 million of Euro provided by inheritance. A management exclusively based on the volunteers and costs less to 2%. Goals achieved quickly, concretely and openly: a commitment that never ends.

Moreover. the Foundation emplys 62 people:• 22 fulltime researchers• 40 PhD students and temporary workers handles by University(approximately 1.800.000 euro total per year)
