Texas Essential Knowledge and Skills for Technology Applications

Just like reading, writing and math, we cannot wait until the skills are needed to start teaching them, or expect someone else to teach them for us.

Marshall McLuhan
“The future masters of technology will have to be light-hearted and intelligent. The machine easily masters the grim and the dumb.”
What does this mean to you?
Be willing to seek out and participate in technology related staff development
Be risk-takers in your attempts to integrate technology into your teaching
Be willing to offer assistance if you are knowledgeable with a portion of technology
Be willing to ask for help if you are unsure about something
Andrew Heller
“Technology is like a fish. The longer it stays on the shelf, the less desirable it becomes.”
So dust it off and learn how to use it!
