Preview:
TRANSCRIPT
Pump shaft / sleeve to be clear of knicks &
scratches where seal o’ring sits. Stuffing
box face to be checked for deep scratches if
seal uses o’ring to seal on this surface
instead of a gasket.
Seal o’ring to be lubricated prior to seal
being installed on pump.
Install seal on shaft & bolt to stuffing
box face positioning seal gland Flush
Port in most suitable position for
piping.
Tighten seal setscrews down onto pump
shaft / sleeve. Remove seal setclips prior to
start up. After removing setclips visually
inspect gap between drive collar & seal
gland – should be uniform all way round.
