    Advertisement and Invitation for Bids

    The Southwest Milam Water Supply Corporation will receive sealed bids for their 2020 Post Oak Savannah Grant New Wa-ter Lines in Praesel Addition – Phase 2 Project until 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, November 10, 2020 at the Southwest Milam Water Supply Corporation’s office at 706 E. Cameron Ave., Rock-dale, Texas 76567. The sealed bids will be publicly opened and read aloud at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, November 10, 2020 at said office.

    Bids are invited for the 2020 Post Oak Savannah Grant New Water Lines in Praesel Addition – Phase 2 Project as described in the specifications, including new water lines, tie-ins, boring, meters, and associated appur-tenances.

    Bid/Documents, including Tech-nical Specifications, are on file at the Southwest Milam Water Supply Corporation, 706 E. Cameron Avenue (P.O. Box 232) Rockdale, TX 76567 or please call the Corporation at (512) 446-2604. In addition, Bid/Doc-uments and Specifications are on file at the offices of BEFCO Engineering, Inc., 485 N. In addi-tion, the successful bidder must ensure that employees and ap-plicants for employment are not discriminated against because of race, color, religion, sex, age or national origin.

    The Corporation reserves the right to reject any or all bids or to waive any informalities in the bidding.

    Bids may be held by the Corpo-ration for a period not to exceed sixty (60) days from the date of the bid opening for the purpose of reviewing the bids and investi-gating the bidder’s qualifications prior to the contract award.

    Project shall be completed by May 31, 2021.

    Basis of award will be to the lowest responsive and respon-sible bidder who provides goods or services using the following criteria:

    • the proposal price;
