Care and Use of the NetbookSeptember 2012

You are responsible for your netbook.Don’t leave it unattended. Only use your own.

Protect your username and password.

No food or drink permitted near the netbook.

Keep fingers, pen, and pencils away from the screen.

Do not use the netbook on your lap.Always place it on a surface like a table or desk. Make sure your desk is clear.

The netbooks must be taken home each night so they can be charged.Students are responsible for bringing their netbook to school fully charged each day.

Netbooks must be carried home in the bag provided. Do not put anything in the netbook bag other than the netbook and the adapter.

Do not expose netbook to extreme heat or cold.

Make sure the lid is closed when moving the netbook.

Netbooks are not allowed on school or personal trips.

Found an inappropriate site?Don’t panic. Let your teacher know.

Keep the netbook locked in your locker.This especially applies during school events, athletic games, and practices.

Avoid storing the netbook in the car.

If you have to have it in the car, make sure it is for short periods of time and that it is locked in the trunk.

Your parents will have access to your username and password.

Back up your data!

Allow your computer to run updates.

Do not change the structure of the netbook.Serial number needs to remain on netbook. Do not add stickers or alter it physical appearance. Do not take it apart.

Please leave the windows settings as they are.This includes desktop, font color, window color, task bar location, and mouse pointer.

What happens if the rules are broken?Your netbook could be taken away.

What to you do if you encounter a problem?

Do a restartReport problem to teacherLog a helpdesk request(Do not try to fix it yourself.)
