POPULAR rock band AilSymudiad are settingoff on the road again topromote their new book,which documents fivedecades of performingand recording severalmemorable hits.
With classics such as Rifieira Cymraeg , Garej Paradwys and Twristi-aid yn y Dre, the bandhas built up a followingthroughout the country
This book is an impor-tant milestone for broth-ers Richard (Jones) andWyn (Lewis Jones) fromCardigan who also run arecording studio in theirseaside town.
Richard explains theybothare looking forwardto returning to touringagain to complement thebook launch.
“I’mlookingforward tothismini-tour of Wales,”he said.
“The tour will take inthe Tafwyl Festival inCardiff, the Saith Seren
bar in Wrexham, the GwylArall festival in Caer-narfon and of course thehome gigin OakHall, Rho-sygilwen, near Cardigan.
“The humour is an im-portant feature of theband and one of the mainreasons why we continueto play.”
Ail Symudiad are thefirst recognised band tocome from Cardigan.
“Some people may notknow but we’re the firstWelsh band that did notcome from school or col-lege,” said Richard.
“At the beginning of ourcareer wedidn’t knowany-one, but after meeting TheTrwynau Coch, we sent ademo to Eurof Williams,producer of the Sosbanprogramme, and that was

The brothers have pro-duced their record label,Fflach, since 1981 and it’snow one of Wales’ leadingrecord companies.
It was formed to givebands the opportunity torecord and release singles.
The book delves into thehistory of the band andthe label alike, with a hostof prominent artists pay-ing their tributes.
DJ Huw Stephenspraised their contributionto Wales.
He said; “Their love formusic, family, friends andplaces in their daily livesshines through.
“The music scene andthe country would be apoorer placewithout themand their great work.”
Richard’s sons, DafyddandOsian, arenowpart of the band and, says Rich-ard, they face the twenty-first century with hugerelish.

selling all types of produce. You’ll find organic bread, cakes,
preserves, honey, vegetables,beer, wine, local crabs, cheeseand ice cream – you name it, thereshould be something for everyone.

important to all ages, so we will beenlisting the help of Small WorldTheatre’s Smoothie Bike – a con-traption that produces smoothiesusing pedal power.
It will be great fun for every-body, spanning the generationsfrom children to grandparents– they can all have a go at mak-ing healthy, tasty drinks from freshfruit while keeping fit at the sametime. Let’s hope the weather iskind to us for once and cold drinkscan be the order of the day.
