Step 1 — Back Panel

Peel back the rubber cover abovethe in/out ports to reveal two screwheads.

Lift the in/out port plastic coveringfrom the bottom where the backupbattery used to be.

Remove the three 4.8 mm screwson the bottom of the back plateusing a Phillips #0.

Peel back the rubber covering nextto the menu dial to access thescrew.

The back panel can now fall offeasily by turning the device upsidedown. Be sure to catch it so the dataribbons do not tear or tug.

Step 8

Remove each data ribbon cablefrom the motherboard by applyingpressure down towards themotherboard and gently sliding yourthumb upwards on the slot wherethe cable meets the motherboard.This will raise a very small clip thatlocks the cable in place.

Step 9 — Rear Button Contact

Remove each of the four 4.8 mm screws holding the protective plate over the button contact ribboncable.

Step 10

Free the blue data ribbon cable by firmly pressing your thumb over the black clasp at the end ofthe cable and sliding your thumb to the left. This will raise the clasp and free the cable.
