Dogs are primarily carnivores, so feeding a dog meat feels natural in many ways.

So, should I give my dog raw meat?

There are certainly benefits that you may feel make giving your dog raw meat worth it.

Shinier Coat.

Healthier teeth.

More energy.

Smaller..errr...stools.

Ok. Ok.So, what should I feed them?

These are more favorable types of meat.

And then a couple you should try and avoid.

Why?Certain raw meats can contain harmful bacteria or parasites.

Better to be safe, than sorry!

And, what’s the downside to all this?

Aside for the aforementioned risk of parasites and bacteria being present in raw meat, there is the associated cost and effort to think about.

You should also be aware that changing your dog’s diet should be done “little-by-little” no matter if you’re switching dog kibble brands or going from kibbles to raw.

All dogs react differently - yours could be fine, or it could get a bad case of the diarrhea.
