Easter Surprise
I was born on April 9th 2007 in Auckland.
It was Easter Monday, I was 3 weeks early and I was just in time for easter eggs!
My Family
Nana and Pop Poppa Brown
Aunty Ninis and Uncle Mal
Jack and Luke ( my cousins )
Nana Gilbert
Nana and GrandadAunty Kerri
Mummy, Daddy, Zara and me
Kindergarten
At Gardner Road Kindergarten, sometimes we went on Kindy trips. We visited the zoo and Mt Albert farm. My favourite thing to do (when I
was at Kindy) was to play in the sandpit. When my Nana came to Kindy, we made a tunnel together in the sandpit.
My First Visit to Hospital
My first visit to hospital was when I was 2 and a half. I needed to have my eye muscles tightened so my eyes will work together to make it easier for me to
focus on things. Mum was allowed into the theatre room (the operating room) but she needed to wear funny Doctors clothes. Because I was young,
Doctor Yvonne used a mask to put me to sleep then a needle in my hand kept me asleep.
My Overseas Adventure
In 2010 (when I was three years old) my family went to Australia on a huge plane. We stayed at our Aunty’s house. Since it was so hot we played in the pool because she had one and sometimes we would go down to the beach. When we were there we also saw some unusual birds and we enjoyed eating ice cream.
Royal Oak Primary
When I was in Year 1, I was in room 4. When I was in Year 2, I was in room 11. Last year (when I was in Year 3) I was in room 13. My favourite school subject is writing. The subject I am best at is maths. At break-times, I like
to play soccer or cricket.

My Bravest Moment : Shark Tooth
Last year, when one of my teeth fell out we noticed that the new tooth that was growing was shaped like a shark’s tooth. That’s why we called it a Shark’s Tooth. To get it out, I had to go to the surgeon and he had to put me to sleep. My appointment was at 3 o-clock in the afternoon, I wasn’t allowed to drink
after 1pm and I wasn’t allowed to eat after 10am. When I woke up I was starving!
My Favourite Book
I love reading! My favourite book is Fantastic Mr Fox. Written by Roald Dahl. Illustrated by Quentin Blake.
Did you know? David Walliams has the same Illustrator as Roald Dahl.

Becoming an Author
I love writing stories! This certificate is for sharing one of my stories to my Year 2 class. My book was based on a series called Magic Tree House. I’m sure you’ll want to hear one! Last year, I did a writing group. This (right picture) is my
published writing in the library from the writing group. It was about a tsunami.
Maps and Tables
Another thing I like doing is drawing maps. I like drawing different kinds of maps. Sometimes I draw maps of places and I sometimes draw maps of
stadiums but I mostly draw maps of roads. The type of map I like drawing most of is maps of stadiums.
Building Lego
My favourite thing to get for my birthday or at Christmas time is Lego. My favourite thing to make with all the Lego I have is
stadiums. At the moment I have 2 stadiums standing. My stadium even has a camera that can move around!
My Favourite Place
Apart from home, my favourite place is my Nana and Grandad’s bach in Pukawa Bay on the southern end of Lake Taupo. To get to the beach we walk through a bush. At the beach there is a pontoon about 50 metres out from shore. I like jumping off it. Last time we went down we found out that there was a fishing
lesson in Turangi. When we go down to Pukawa Bay I build a bird house because there are heaps of birds called Quails. One day when we came back from the
beach we noticed that a quail had laid an egg in my house! Also my Grandad has a boat so we go on a ski and it is loads of fun zooming across the lake.
I love sport!
Another thing I love is sport. I like playing it, I like watching it on television and watching it live at the stadium. I like heaps of sports: Rugby, Cricket, Soccer, Tennis, Rugby League and Swimming. Every Term 1 and 4
on Wednesday I have a Tennis lesson. Every Tuesday I have a Swimming lesson. In winter I play soccer. I play Rugby, Rugby League and Cricket at
home.
Smashing Dad!
Sometimes on Friday, Saturday or Sunday afternoon I play Rugby with my Dad. I get filthy (as you can see in the middle picture). I always smash him and he smashes me. Usually I get 60+ points and my Dad usually gets less than 50
points. Sometimes we go up to One Tree Hill and play there. Once when we were playing I scored more than 200 points and my Dad only scored 56 points!
Meeting Someone Famous
One day last year we were in town. We were walking down a street and my Dad spotted Jonathan Thurston (he plays Rugby League for Australia). I
got to have a photo taken with him.
My Hero
My hero is my Mum because she makes me food, makes me feel happy, washes my clothes, helps me with stuff and gives me
cuddles.
My Flying Adventure
Last year I went down to New Plymouth by myself to visit my Nana and Grandad. The day I flew down was a super stormy day. After about 1 minute in the air the
plane was in the clouds. In the air the plane was jumping like a kangaroo because it was very windy. The plane ride was about 35 minutes long. Coming in to land the plane was so low that it felt like the plane was going to crash into the rocks. While I was in New Plymouth Nana, Grandad and I went to something like a zoo but with farm animals. There was a bushwalk but since it was raining we
(Nana, Grandad and I) called it a rainforest walk!
My Most Thrilling Moment
My most thrilling moment is going on the rollercoaster at Rainbows End for my friend’s 8th birthday. As we approached the rollercoaster I started to get nervous. I could see 2 loopty-loops! It was my first time and I felt
super duper scared. At the start we went up a hill slowly and then we started going faster once we got to the top of the hill. Wow! The ride was
amazing!
The Best Day of My Life
The best day of my life was in New Plymouth when Dad and I went down for the ITM cup rugby final. We went to the top of a hill and looked out to the ocean
and around the other side of the hill we saw Mount Egmont. My favourite part of the weekend was going to the game. I wore a yellow and black wig (the
Taranaki colours). It was a wonderful weekend!
What I Want To Be When I Grow Up
When I grow up I want to be a rugby player. My favourite rugby player (at the moment) is Richie McCaw. The position I want to play in is Halfback. The other
players that I like are: Beauden Barrett and Dan Carter. The teams I support are: Auckland, the Blues and the All Blacks. My favourite team is the All Blacks.
