EROSION CONTROL NOTES1. REFER TO GENERAL NOTES SHEET C100.

2. A PRE-CONSTRUCTION MEETING IS REQUIRED FOR THIS PROJECT.

3. EROSION CONTROL MEASURES SHALL BE MAINTAINED DURING THE ENTIRE LIFE OF THE PROJECT.

4. CONTRACTOR SHALL CONDUCT GRADING OPERATIONS IN A MANNER THAT ENSURES NO SEDIMENT IS ALLOWED OFF-SITE. IT IS THE

CONTRACTOR'S SOLE RESPONSIBILITY TO ENSURE THAT NO SEDIMENT IS ALLOWED OFF-SITE. IF ADDITIONAL MEASURES ARE REQUIRED, THE

CONTRACTOR SHALL NOTIFY THE ENGINEER IMMEDIATELY TO DISCUSS DESIGN MODIFICATIONS.

5. ALL STREETS ADJACENT TO AND IN FRONT OF THE PROJECT SHALL BE KEPT CLEAN AT ALL TIMES OR A WASH STATION MAY BE REQUIRED AT THE

CONTRACTOR'S EXPENSE.

6. CONTRACTOR SHALL CONSTRUCT DIVERSION DITCHES AND BERMS TO ENSURE ALL RUN-OFF IS DIRECTED TO AN EROSION CONTROL MEASURE.

DIVERSIONS SHALL STAY IN PLACE AT LEAST UNTIL PIPE DRAINAGE SYSTEM IS COMPLETED.

7. GROUND COVER SHALL BE ESTABLISHED PER UPDATED NPDES REQUIREMENTS. REFER TO DETAIL THIS SHEET STABILIZATION TIME FRAMES.

8. CUT AND FILL SLOPES THAT ARE TWO TO ONE (2:1) OR GREATER SHALL BE STABILIZED WITH PERMANENT SLOPE RETENTION DEVICES OR A

SUITABLE COMBINATION OR PLANTINGS AND RETENTION DEVICES. SLOPES GREATER THAN THREE TO ONE (3:1) SHALL NOT BE STABILIZED WITH

TURF GRASS BUT MUST BE STABILIZED WITH VEGETATION THAT REQUIRES MINIMAL MAINTENANCE SUCH AS WEEPING LOVE GRASS, RED FESCUE

OR OTHER APPROVED VARIETY.

9. THE TREE PROTECTION FENCE SHALL BE MAINTAINED ON THE SITE UNTIL ALL SITE WORK IS COMPLETED AND THE FINAL SITE INSPECTION IS

SCHEDULED PRIOR TO THE ISSUANCE OF A CERTIFICATE OF OCCUPANCY (CO). THE FENCING SHALL BE REMOVED IMMEDIATELY PRIOR TO THE

FINAL SITE INSPECTION FOR THE SITE.

10. TREE PROTECTION FENCING SHALL NOT BE MOVED AND THERE SHALL BE NO ENCROACHMENT INTO SUCH PROTECTED AREA(S) WITHOUT

WRITTEN AUTHORIZATION OF THE TOWN’S ZONING COMPLIANCE STAFF. ANY ACTIVITY (LANDSCAPING, FENCING, OR UTILITY INSTALLATION)

SHOWN ON THE APPROVED PLANS IN A TREE PROTECTION AREA, SHALL ALSO NOT OCCUR WITHOUT WRITTEN AUTHORIZATION FROM THE

TOWN’S ZONING COMPLIANCE STAFF. ANY UNAUTHORIZED ENCROACHMENT OR DISTURBANCE WITHIN THE BOUNDARIES OF A TREE

PROTECTION AREA SHALL AUTOMATICALLY RESULT IN FINES AND THE REPLACEMENT OF ANY DAMAGED VEGETATION IN ACCORDANCE WITH

THE LAND DEVELOPMENT ORDINANCE.

11. ALL CATCH BASINS SHALL BE PROTECTED PER TOC DETAIL 04000.014, UNLESS NOTED OTHERWISE.

12. TOPSOIL SHALL BE STRIPPED AND STOCKPILED AND MAY BE PLACED IN NON STRUCTURAL FILL AREAS.

13. PERMANENT GOUNDCOVER SHALL BE ESTABLISHED WITHIN 15 WORKING DAYS OR 90 CALENDAR DAYS, WHICHEVER IS SHORTER.

14. CONSTRUCTION ENTRANCES MUST BE MODIFIED TO ACHIEVE ADA COMPLIANCE WHERE APPLICABLE.

15. CONTRACTOR SHALL CONSTRUCT DIVERSION BERM OUTSIDE OF THE RIGHT OF WAY ALONG E PARK STREET TO ENSURE THAT ALL RUNOFF

DURING THE GRADING PHASE IS KEPT ON SITE. AS THE SITE IS BROUGHT TO GRADE AND THE STORM STRUCTURES ARE INSTALLED, THE DIVERSION

MAY BE MODIFIED/REMOVED AS INSTRUCTED BY THE EROSION CONTROL INSPECTOR.

16. A GRADING PERMIT SHALL NOT BE ISSUED FOR THIS PROJECT UNTIL THE FOLLOWING HAS OCCURED:

A. THE RISER STRUCTURES AND BARRELS MUST BE DELIVERED AND ON SITE.

B. THE TREE PROTECTION FENCING ON THIS PROJECT MUST BE INSTALLED AND INSPECTED.

C. THE TOWN OF CARY HAS RECEIVED NOTIFICATION FROM THE ECOSYSTEM ENHANCEMENT PROGRAM OR AN APPROVED NUTRIENT OFFSET

BANK THAT A RECEIPT HAS BEEN ISSUED TO THE DEVELOPER AND THE LOCAL GOVERNMENT STATING THE NITROGEN BUY DOWN HAS BEEN

COMPLETED.

2. REMOVE ALL LOOSE ROCKS, ROOTS, DIRT CLODS, AND OTHER OBSTRUCTIONS LEAVING GROUND SURFACE

SMOOTH AND UNIFORM.

3. TO PREPARE UNIFORM SEEDBED, INCORPORATE AGRICULTURAL LIME FERTILIZER AND SUPERPHOSPHATE INTO

SOIL AREAS TO BE VEGETATED. DISK NUTRIENTS INTO SOIL UNTIL WELL PULVERIZED.

4. SEED ON PREPARED SEEDBED AND COVER LIGHTLY WITH SEEDING EQUIPMENT OR CULTIPACK. APPLY

TEMPORARY SEEDING TO SOIL STOCKPILE AREAS THAT WILL BE DISTURBED WITHIN 30 DAYS. APPLY PERMANENT

SEEDING TO WHERE FINISH GRADES ARE ESTABLISHED.

5. MULCH IMMEDIATELY AFTER SEEDING AND ANCHOR WITH LIQUID ASPHALT AT 400 GAL./ACRE OR EMULSIFIED

ASPHALT AT 300 GAL./ACRE.

6. MULCH ALL SEEDED AREAS WITH SMALL GRAIN STRAW AT 90 LBS./1000 SF AND SPREAD UNIFORMLY. GROUND

SURFACE SHOULD BE VISIBLE TO ALLOW SUNLIGHT PENETRATION.
