» 20 years or 13 to 18 years in the wild.

» Gray

» It extends through out eastern and southeastern Australia, encompassing northeastern, cenral and southeastern Queensland, eastern New South Wales, Victoria and southeastern South Australia.

» Herbivore- eucalyptus leaves.

» Foxes, feral cats, dingos, lizards, owls, and people.

» New born koalas-called joeys-continue to develop in their mother’s pouches.

» People used to hunt koalas for their fur. Now strict law protect them form hunters, but their habitat is not protected, and it is disappearing as land is developed.

» Female koalas are smaller then males.
