Benefits of using the internet as a development tool• Digital payments Number of mobile money accounts worldwide: 203 MILLION &COUNTING EX : paypal• DIGITAL MARKETPLACENumber of small & medium enterprises on (AMAZON): 5 MILLION &COUNTING• Digital identity 55 percent of the population of developing countries have digital IDs that are being used for specific functions and services like voting, cash transfers, or health.

As we are speaking here , Digital technologies are spreading rapidly around the world . However, nearly 60 percent of the world’s population are still offlineWhat should developing countries do?

o Make the internet universal, affordable, open and safe.

o Improve global cooperation to address trans-boundary problems.o Strengthen the analog foundations of the digital economy.

Analog complements : understanding of how technology interacts with other factors that are important for development—what the Report calls “analog complements.”Once the internet revolution has established ,its ‘’analog complements ‘’ it has become obvious that these complements are very important in accelerating development. . When these analogs complements are absent to digital complements The developing impact can be disappointing .
