Triple Offset Top Entry Butterfly ValveFigure: DIDTEKTOTEBVTriple Offset Top Entry Butterfly Valves are manufactured to the latest edition of API Standard 609 and tested to API Standard 598.Application & Function:Didtek Triple Offset Top Entry Butterfly Valve is used to prevent galling and scratches between the metal seat and the metal disc due to its unique design. The only time where the seal comes into contact with the seat is at the point of complete closure. Triple offset valves are generally used in applications which require bi-directional tight shut-off in oil and gas, LNG/NPG terminal and tanks, chemical factories, and shipbuilding. They are also used for dirty/heavy oil to prevent extrusion.MaintenanceThe maintenance of the valve could be realized by opening the bonnet and operating it in the line directly, therefore, achieving easy maintenance as well as time-saving.Accessories:Accessories such as gear operators, actuators, locking devices,
chain wheels, extended stems and bonnets for cryogenic service and many others are available to meet the customer’s requirements.Applicable Standards:
- Butterfly valve design according to API 609, ASME B16.34
- Face to face ASME B16.10/API 609
- End Flanges ASME B16.5/ASME B16.47
- Butt welding end ASME B16.25- Inspection and test API 598Rating:- ASME CL,150,300Temperature Range:- -50°C~650°CSize Range:- 6’’~64’’
Graphite Packings are intended to offer high temperature capability, good chemical resistance and markedly reduced spindle wear. By selecting or combining the many versions of Graphite Packings available.
Didtek Triple Offset Butterfly Valve top flanges are manufactured in compliance with ISO 5211 and will accept standard mounting yoke designs accordingly.
Laminated metal+graphite seat enables smooth mating, which makes Didtek valves not only in general application but also in LNG/LPG gas applications. Each individual layer services a unique and independent sealing purpose. Along with Triple offset design, laminated seat ring shows excellent performance and help pro-vide lower operation torque during opening and closing. Different types of materials are selected for laminated metal plate depend-ing on applications.

Zero leakage benefits from the unique design of the disc element and meticulously machines seat to create a perfectly matched disc and seat fit, this design also ensures that the metal seat and metal lam-inated sealing never be in contact with each other while the valve is cycling. Contact is made between disc seal and body only as final shut off position is reached.
1st offset
The rotation axis of disc is moving back from the sealing surfaces of disc. The pur-pose of this offset is to have a continuous sealing surface on the disc.
2nd offset
The rotation axic of disc is relocated from the centerline of the body. The purpose of this offset is to lift the disc quickly off and away from the seat ring of the body.
3rd offset
The conical axis, which is extended from the sealing surface of disc, is inclined from the rotation axis of disc. The purpose of this offset is to eliminate friction, galling and wear of sealing surfaces during operations and to provide bubble tight shut-off at high and cryogenic temperatures.

Renewable valve seat Metal to Metal Sealing
It adopts the floating seal ring structure. It can adjust position on the body automatically depend-ing on the pushing power of closing the disc. Floating seal can compensate for various factors such as deformation and thermal expansion in different working conditions. It can eliminate the damage of sealing surface to assure the sealing fitted and evenly affording pressure. Using life is extended and sealing performance is improved.
Seat ring keeps closing performance under the cycling temperature; the contraction of the body won’t pass to the seat. It will prevent the valve from obstruction.
When the sealing performance decreased after long time using, changing the seal ring, so the sealing performance would be recovered. The seal ring can be disassembled and changed at the spot. The seal ring of same specification butterfly valves has good changeable performance.
The valve adopts shaft direction position device. It can avoid the pressure damage, wear and leakage of sealing surface caused by the disc moves .
The valve is adjustable for flow control and the stop of pipeline. It has great corrosion resistance and bidirectional sealing..

Disc will gradually leave from the seat to reduce the friction between the sealing surface as to prolong the service life because of its eccentric structure. The design of seat is lip structure, the material is PTFE, RPTFE or Ultra-high molecular weight polyethylene. The seat can revert to the original position after deformation to guarantee the sealing no matter what’s the flow direction.
Characteristics of Structure
When the gland suffered the pressure, the pressure will be pushed at the gland side(as the picture), the sealing performance between disc and seat will be getting stronger.
When the stem suffered pressure, disc will be pushed to the disc direction, seat is getting transformation, seat and the grand groove meet together, the grand groove can protect seat over-transfored.
The anti-fire PTFE sealing Structure means we use metal and PTFE double sealing structure. When the PTFE seat is destroyed the metal seat can keep sealing, in case meet the fire safe demand.
It wil produce static between disc and seat ring when you open/close the valve, because we use non-metallic material such as Teflon. The static will cause a lot of unsecure factors, so we use stop collar type. It will transfer the static from the disc to the body, and then from the anti-static bolting in the body to the ground. Thereby achieve the purpose of eliminating the accumulation of static.

Flow Coefficient (Cv), API 6A
Data for Calculation of FlowThe coefficient of flow (Cv) expressesthe rate of flow of water in gallonsper minute at 60 Fwith a pressuredrop of 1 psig. The Cv coefficients forthe various types and sizes shown inthe tables have been determined from actual flow tests.
Note: Kv is the metric equivalent of Cv.
Kv = Cv x 0.85
For Liquids:
1
2
Where: QL = Flow in U.S. Gallons per minuteP = (P1 - P2) Pressure drop in psi
GL = Specific gravity of liquid (water = 1 at 60˚F)
For Gases:
3
4
Where: Qg = Volumetric flow of gas (SCFH)Gg = Specific gravity of gas at
standard conditions T = Absolute temperature of gas (˚F + 460)
Note: For gas, max. AP = 1/2 P1and min. P2 = 1/2 P1and P2 are absolute pressures (psia)

About us Since year ‘1985’ our founders started the workshop for valve production, we have always been adhering to the belief that we are going to be the leader in the Chinese market on resource and development, in order to build the top standard among our competitors.
The chosen location was OuBei town, a strategic position to reach a wide range of suppliers of semi-finished products, foundries and raw materials and to be very close to Shanghai port. Since the beginning, our company policy did reward our employees who are outstanding for precision and meticulousness. Those choices get paid back immediately: from a simple workshop of 800 m2, we did expand our actual factory to over 25,000 m2 size and more than 600 employees, among whom over 20% have a university degree.
In order to fulfill our customer needs, we established a partnership with 2 valves production sites in Tianjin, a forged flange and a fitting production sites in Shijiazhuang, 5 valves and a pipe production in OuBei town then we incorporated a foundry in Li Shui.
Low cost of labor is not anymore the only advantage to produce in China as it was before, thus our second generation managers did enhance our business attitude to compete in the world market by developing quality control on our suppliers and our service, which can now compete with any European company.
